Old Stein Inn Bier Menu

beer mug

In times before refrigeration it was easy to serve cold beer in winter. However, to solve the problem in summer, one brewer dug a cellar and planted a grove of chestnut trees over it to keep the ground and the beer cool. Soon many people came for the cold draft and they brought their families and food to enjoy beneath the trees. The wise brewer added a few rough-hewn tables to accommodate his patrons, and the first biergarten was created.

Here at the Old Stein Biergarten, locals young and old from all walks of life meet in a very casual fashion, sometimes sharing the same tables and benches enjoying food, beer and entertainment with time to catch up with family and friends. With the start of spring “Mayfest”, we have entertainment each Saturday night thru October. Beer stein are raised many a times during an evening with the proper toast of “Prosit”. The traditional German drinking song will urge you to drink up and enjoy life.
